SCRAMscreen®
is a revolutionary projection screen that provides high contrast, high brightness, ambient light rejection, modularity and more. The SCRAMscreen® can achieve high definition resolutions using any imaging source. When SCRAMscreens® are used in conjunction with SCRAM's proprietary optics designs, slim form factor rear projection displays can be engineered. SCRAM’s 52" diagonal prototype was built to a depth less than 10 inches and 40 pounds.
By stacking optically clear plastic or glass with a coated cladding, proprietary planar waveguides are created that allow light to be transmitted directly to the viewing surface of the screen with virtually no loss of light. To further enhance performance, the SCRAMscreen® absorbs ambient light which eliminates reflective losses on the image transmission, thus creating an even brighter picture. Diffusing films can be applied and customized to address gain, brightness and viewing angles. For thin form factor displays, light directing film is applied to capture light and turn it into the waveguides prior to transmission to the front of the screen.
SCRAM’s high performing LED illumination modules are available as components for OEMs or in our proprietary systems designs for final products. Our LED light engines are currently an integral component in our military cockpit display projects. These ruggedized displays can be transitioned to commercial use as well.
